The Moto X40, Motorola's most recent flagship device, debuted in China in December 2022 and will soon be available worldwide. It will be identical to its Chinese cousin and sold internationally under the name Motorola Edge 40 Pro.
A recent leak of comprehensive renders of the Edge 40 Pro from all sides served as confirmation of this. These pictures demonstrate that the Moto X40 and the Edge 40 Pro will look identical. Even different colour variations will be available.
According to these images, the Edge 40 Pro will have the same curved screen and rear panel, a leading camera set up with a "50MP" designation, and even the same colour possibilities. The side bezels of the display will remain razor-thin.
As a rebranded Moto X40, the entire set of specifications for this device is already known.
A 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, 1 billion colours, and HDR10+ support will be featured on the Edge 40 Pro. It will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and be a full-fledged flagship. It has extremely thin bezels, which help to account for its 90% screen-to-body ratio.
A 50MP 1/1.55′′ primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP 1/2.76′′ ultrawide camera with autofocus, and a 12MP 1/2.93′′ telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom and PDAF should be part of the main camera configuration. With a staggering 60MP resolution, the selfie camera will have a higher quality than the main camera.
With 125W cable charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging, the battery's capacity will be rated at 4,600 mAh.
The expected price in the European market is €850. As of yet, there is no set date for the launch.
