It is no secret that Redmi has
begun developing the Redmi K60 series, the company's newest range of high-end K
series phones. Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro, and Redmi K60E are the three models
that will be part of the series, according to leaks and certifications to yet.
Digital Chat Station, a
well-known tipper, revealed online some leaked pictures of the Redmi K60's
retail packaging (DCS). This implies that the business has begun stocking units
but also mass production has commenced, indicating that it is close to debut.
The packaging resembles the Redmi K50 series quite a bit, it seems.
The Redmi K60 was scheduled to
debut by the end of the year, but because Xiaomi had to postpone the 13
series, so K60 series was also put off until January 2023.
Internal MIUI builds for the
Redmi K60 series were discovered by the Xiaomi-focused technology site
Xiaomiui. These disclosed that MIUI 14 will debut on the Redmi K60 & K60
Pro, but MIUI 13 will remain on the K60E. This month, both MIUI 14 and the
Xiaomi 13 lines will be launched.
Revealed Specifications
Redmi K60E will reportedly
include a Snapdragon 870 / Dimensity-8200 processor, according to leaks.
Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 & Gen 2 CPUs are anticipated for the K60 and K60 Pro,
respectively.
The 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen
& 5,500 mAh battery of the vanilla K60 are rumored to allow 67W wired
charging. For reliable images and videos, its primary camera should be a 64MP
Sony IMX686 sensor featuring OIS.
While the K60 Pro is expected to have a 120Hz AMOLED panel, it will have a better resolution (2K). A 50MP main camera is also rumored to be included, however, this one will reportedly use a Sony IMX766 sensor. There are currently no other details available regarding the Redmi K60 series.
