Hostel Fee

The following Fee structure will be applicable from the 1st Semester (Fall 2022) until the 8th/10th Semester (Spring 2026/27):

At the time of allocation, a refundable hostel security fee of Rs. 2,240 will be imposed.

Fee Regulations

1. Payment Schedules and Additional Fees

a) The fees and other expenditures are divided into:

i. At the time of admission, one-time payments

ii. Fees for a semester

iii. Student fees for the summer semester for those enrolling in the course

b) All recurrent fees for each year a student attends the university are charged in two installments, which are due at the start of the fall and spring semesters.

c) The cost of registration is:

(i) For the subsidized group, Rs 2,000 per credit hour; and

(ii) For subjects registered during the summer semester, there will be a fee of Rs 7,000 per credit hour for the partially subsidized category.

d) Students who complete a four-year degree programme or a five-year degree programme may be required to pay a total of 8 semesters' worth of recurring fees or 10 semesters' worth of recurring fees, respectively.

e) Students who register for classes after finishing eight or ten semesters of a four-year or five-year degree programme, respectively, are not required to pay the allowable semester dues but must instead pay Rs 2,000 per credit hour for the classes they have chosen.

f) Even if re-admitted students finish their degree requirements during their initial admission session or a semester later, they must pay the allowable dues for two further semesters. For the subjects they enroll for after the two additional semesters for which they have already paid the allowable dues, they will pay Rs 2,000 per credit hour.

g) Students who have postponed their studies or who have not registered in any subjects during a semester will be assessed an admission retention fee of Rs 15,000/- per semester. This price will be in addition to the total amount of fees that these students may pay.

h) Hostel fees are due for the duration of the allocation, with a partial semester counting as a full semester. Fans require rent and power, which are paid on a semester-by-semester basis. Only during the winter season for four months are electricity fees for room heaters due.

2. Rates for tuition have varied

a) Only that year's admission session will be covered by the fee and other costs schedule (announced in the prospectus for four years).

b) Each year, a 12% increase in tuition fees and other fees may be added to account for inflation.

3. Amount Due Paid

a) Before the start of the semester, the fee challan form would be accessible online through the student's Learning Management System (LMS) login.

b) The amount due before the due date and the amount owing after the due date must be shown on the challan form.

c) Students are urged to use HBL's assistance to pay their fees electronically.

d) If students don't pay their semester dues in advance, they won't be able to register for classes. After the start of the semester, if the dues are not paid by the end of the 21-day add/drop period, the semester will be completely missed.

e) If a student does not pay their debts by the end of the add/drop period, their admission may be revoked. Such students will need to reapply after receiving the VC's approval and paying all outstanding debts as well as the readmission fee.

f) Departments will not permit students whose names do not show on the LMS attendance record to sit in the classes.

 g) Cases involving students who are funded externally will be handled separately.

4. Cashback on Securities

a) When a student leaves the university after receiving his degree, the university and library securities are returned, less unpaid fees owed to the university or library.

b) When a student vacates the hostel, the hostel and mess securities are returned, less any outstanding fees.

5. Refund upon Cancellation of Admission

5.1 Freshly Admitted Students Cancel Admission

According to the following schedule, the student is eligible for a refund of all fees paid, excluding the admission fee:

a) If entry is canceled up to the eighth day, a full (100%) refund will be given.

b) A 50% price return if admittance is canceled between the ninth and sixteenth day.

c) No fee is refunded if entry is canceled after the 17th day:

 The number of days listed in the timetable for calculating return amounts would begin on the date that fell last from either of the following dates:

i. The start of classes; or

ii The University starting the registration process; or

iii The day that the student made their bank deposit to cover their entrance fees.

5.2 Other Students Cancelling Their Admission

a) When a student withdraws from admission before earning their degree, they receive reimbursement for university security, library security, hostel security, and mess security.

b) After deducting the number of months used at the university, the one-time deposit of US$ 10,000 made by international and dual national students enrolled under the SF category would be returned. The monthly refund rate will be calculated by dividing the initial deposit by 48. A fraction of a month will be treated as a full month for calculating the number of availed months.

5.3 All other deposited dues and fees, including the migration fee collected from relocated students, are not refundable.
