Redmi, a subsidiary of Xiaomi, has acknowledged that the new
Note series will launch in the coming days. Given that there are just 10 days
remaining in October, the Redmi Note 12 should be available within a week at
the latest, according to the brand's Weibo announcement.
According to Xiaomi's typical release schedule, the initial launch will only take place in China; a later, anticipated global release. Additionally, Redmi has announced that the Note 12 would include two of the first mobile technologies in the globe.
It is anticipated to be the first device to use MediaTek's
recently unveiled Dimensity 1080 chipset, which is the straight replacement for
the Dimensity 920 found on the Redmi Note 11 Pro (China), which was released
last year.
The phone will also include 210W quick charging, another
first for the industry. The iQOO 10 Pro from Vivo is currently the quickest
charging smartphone, charging at a whopping 200W. With the help of this
technology, a dead battery may be fully charged in just 10 minutes. With the
upcoming Redmi Note 12, Xiaomi hopes to surpass this record.
According to rumors, the Redmi Note 12, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro+ would each have a wired charging capability of 67W, 120W, and 210W, respectively. This year's range may even include a fourth model, the Redmi Note 12 Ultra, though there aren't any specifics available just yet.
The Dimensity 1080 SoC is anticipated to be used in the two Pro models, but they will all include an AMOLED display, a 50MP main camera, and a sizable 5,000 mAh battery. A debut at the end of October is a strong indication that Xiaomi wants to capitalize on the impending Double 11 (November 11) retail extravaganza in China. Early in 2023, there might be a global launch, but we advise treating this information with caution.
