The Moto Razr 2022 from Motorola is the company's most recent
foldable and is now prepared to compete with Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip on the
world market. After almost three months in China, the clamshell folding
smartphone is leaving the country. For the time being, it has arrived in Europe
but should soon be available elsewhere.
The new Razr 2022 is a significant improvement over the
previous model, which only featured mid-range specifications when compared to
the luxury features of the Galaxy Z Flip. The Motorola Moto foldable is indeed
a full-fledged flagship this time, just like its biggest rival.
With significantly smaller bezels than previously and a tiny
punch-hole selfie camera in place of a large notch, its main display is a foldable
6.7" OLED. It has a 1080p resolution, 10-bit colors, and HDR10+ support on
a 144Hz panel. The hinge has indeed been modified for increased smoothness and
longevity. The exterior screen is still 2.7 inches and has a similar resolution
(573 x 800).
The engine is where one of their biggest advancements is
placed. It uses Qualcomm's top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip to replace
the mid-range Snapdragon 710 SoC. This is coupled with significantly more
storage—512 GB—and up to 12 GB of RAM.
This time, the rear has a real twin camera arrangement with a
50MP 1/1.55′′ main sensor with OIS as well as a 13MP ultrawide camera. 8K 30
FPS and 4K 60 FPS are the maximum video recording resolutions. The selfie
camera has increased significantly to 5MP (now 32MP).
The battery now has a 3,500 mAh capacity, and quick charging
has increased to 30W from 20W.
In Europe, the Moto Razr 2022 starts at €1,200, which is a
little more expensive than the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
