One of the cheapest 5G phones on the market has been
released by Honor, while also being a remarkable low-cost phone. The Honor Play
6C has officially been released in China, unlike the majority of cheap
smartphones, it features a Snapdragon processor as opposed to a Unisoc or an
entrance MediaTek SoC.
Display Configuration
The
phone's design is fairly typical, with a big bottom bezel and a camera module
in the shape of a waterdrop. This is supported by a top-tier 6.5-inch IPS LCD
with a fluid 90Hz refresh rate that only boasts 720P resolution. On the right
side, you'll find both the power button and the fingerprint reader.
Storage and Processor
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 480, which powers the Honor 6C, performs on par with the Snapdragon 680 in regards of speed but falls short in terms of battery life. The Chinese version offers a single 128 GB storage capacity and 6 GB and 8 GB RAM options, however, this may not apply to worldwide variants.
Software-wise,
Android 12 is topped with Magic UI 5.0.
Camera Department
Despite having two slots for cameras on the rear, there is only one 13MP wide-angle shooter there. Although there is no information on video recording capabilities, it is expected that the phone can record 1080p videos at 30 FPS.
A 5MP camera is positioned in the waterdrop notch for
selfies.
Battery and Fast Charging
In terms of battery specs, the phone is also unreserved. For
quick top-ups, it contains a 5,000 mAh cell and 22.5W fast charging.
Pricing
In China, the Honor Play 6C starts at $154; even so, the
prices will definitely be more in global regions.
